Who you are contracting with

Nature of the service

We provide business advisory services. Nothing on this site or in an engagement is legal, tax, accounting, investment or other regulated professional advice, and it must not be relied upon as such. Where a matter requires a licensed professional we will say so.

No guarantee of results

Advisory work informs decisions; it does not control outcomes. We do not guarantee any revenue, saving, growth or other business result, and any figures discussed in an engagement are estimates based on stated assumptions.

Engagements, scope and fees

Work begins only under a written proposal you have accepted. The proposal states the question, the deliverables, the dates and the fee. Fees are in United States dollars, invoiced fifty per cent on acceptance and fifty per cent on delivery. If the work requires more effort than we scoped, the fee does not change.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide access to the records, people and decision-maker described in the proposal, and to tell us if anything you have given us is inaccurate. Decisions taken on the basis of our advice remain yours.

Confidentiality

A mutual confidentiality agreement is signed before material changes hands. We do not publish client names or case studies.

Intellectual property

The text and layout of this site belong to the company named above. The documents produced in an engagement become yours on payment in full.

Cancellation

Either party may end an engagement in writing. Fees for work already delivered remain payable; fees for work not yet begun do not. Retainers may be cancelled with thirty days’ notice.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with an engagement is limited to the fees paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, where the company is registered.
